It is not only during the summer months that the people of Shanklin put on events. Shanklin Christmas Festival which last year was held on Saturday 10th December was again a storming success with it’s main organiser Lyn Howe at Fresh Fields & Pets Paradise procuring Lucid to play wrapped up in many jumpers and scarves on the back of a lorry!
Such a special day also meant that Father Christmas spent a few hours at Falcon Cross Hall where he listened to the Christmas wishes of hundreds of children and even gave each one a gift. Regent Street was filled with fun and games for the little ones, stalls to buy those last minute Christmas gifts and tombolas and fund raising activities for local community groups.
Shanklin Theatre also opened it’s doors on festival day to once again show off their new seating and exciting calendar of events for 2012.
Thanks goes to Lyn Howe and her small, hard working committee who make this day possible.
